The 1963 film starred Tippi Hedren , Jessica Tandy,Suzanne Pleshette, and Rod Taylor.
The movie is famous for some of the inspirational camera angles and frames, and with some of the most memorable cinematic scenes from Alfred Hitchcock.
A campus security guard pepper sprays s baby squirrel in front of school children, the squirrel squeals in pain as the children watch in horror; one of the students named “Lily” grabs the baby squirrel and she and her babysitter PJ takes the squirrel to the vet. The next day Lilly, PJ and the vet release the baby squirrel back into the field and campers back into the forest. After returning to the forest the baby squirrel tells the other squirrels and other creatures of what occurred, soon the sound of chattering fills the forest Soon the horde of squirrels will descend upon the small town; attacking everywhere including the tranquil park where both old and young had gathered to relax, play, and feed the squirrels but now the squirrels want something other than peanuts they want revenge!.
Comic Book Divas Publishing has been asked about the conclusion of the Alfred Hitchcock “The Birds” parody comic book “SQUIRREL”; We thought that CBDP fans and the fans of “SQUIRREL” should be updated on what is going on with the comic.
“SQUIRREL” #1 was created and written by Jeff Hughes with art by Richard and Elisabeth Zerga of Legends Of Heroes And Villains Publishing in 2011, Tthe comic was released in October of 2012,; “SQUIRREL” #1 debuted at the release party with Legends Of Heroes And Villains at Empire’s Comic Vault in California and at the Dallas Fan Days in Irving Texas.
“SQUIRREL” #2 was initially going to be released in the summer of 2013 and was being promoted as doing so by Comic Book Divas Publishing, after some time passed and discussions were made with the artist Richard Zerga it was decided by Jeff Hughes and Richard Zerga that due to scheduling issues with other projects at Legends Of Heroes And Villains that a new artist should be assigned to “SQUIRREL”
Comic Book Divas Publishing began an extensive search for the new artist for “SQUIRREL” but also had begun a campaign to search for other artists for a “Collaboration Project” by visiting several freelance websites such as PencilJack and also reaching out to our connections in the comic book creator world, one of which was colorist Jeff Balke; Jeff recommended artist David Faught for the comic book project.
Comic Book Divas Publishing reached out to David Faught concerning another project entitled “WANTED: Red Riding”; however after talking to David about “SQUIRREL” and the concept behind the comic he decided that he would enjoy taking over the “SQUIRREL” comic book project.
David is not only taking over “SQUIRREL”, he is going to be rebooting the entire comic book; so you will be getting David’s unique perspective of the comic book and we are sure he will be throwing in his own bag of nutty artistic flair to the pages.
Comic Book Divas Publishing is also changing the title from “SQUIRREL” to “SQUIRRELS: The Chattering”, in addition we CBDP has also changed the title logo.
What hasn’t changed much is the initial .cast of “SQUIRRELS!: The Chatter”, still part of the cast is actress PJ Soles from the original Halloween, Carrie, Rock and Roll High School, and Stripes, actress, host of USA UP ALL NIGHT and the founder of Rhonda Shear Shapewear and the creator of the Ahhh Bra Rhonda Shear,, actress and founder of BioGamer Girls Amanda Dyar, actress Lily Cardone, actress Anjanette Clewis, actress Kristen Reid, and Lisa Davis
Comic Book Divas Publishing has agreed with Legends Of Heroes And Villains that they can complete their version of “SQUIRREL” when time allows them to complete their version of the comic, so fans will have two versions of the comic to look forward too.
For now “SQUIRREL” #1 will remain available on the Comic Book Divas Publishing website, however when CBDP begins production on “QUIRRELS!:The Chattewring” we will discontnue the sale of the current version.
Comic Book Divas Publishing hopes to have an interview with new artist David Faught along with updates and sneak peek of artwork from “SQUIRRELS!: The Chattering”.
Comic Book Divas Publishing is shaking things up and we are starting with the brand new logo; you will see the new logo gradually appear throughout everything Comic Book Divas.
The logo isn’t any drastic changes to the logo; we just wanted to make more of statement of what Comic Divas is all about and of course create something that would grab fans attention and we think that new logo does this. For some fans it will take some getting used too but in time you will love the new look.
For the new logo we place a new slicker action-type font that really gives more weight to the logo and at the same time gets the eye of fans, then we placed the CBD heroes at the top of a purple sphere; this places the figures at the top but it does not cover up the font. We wanted to place the figures above the text so they didn’t cover up the message, their way they are almost of the same eye level..
The logo now also features the word “Publisher” making it clear to all our fans that Comic Book Divas not only creates awesome comics but we are also a publisher.
Comic Book Divas will have variations of our logo to showcase the other aspects of Comic Book Divas, and we will have the new logos on new shirts.
