Halloween approaches and with it Comic Book Divas Publishing is excited to announce that we have begun production for the all ages “Witch Vs Genie” comic book scheduled for release in 2016.
Witch Vs Genie is an all ages comic book that follows Trick-Zee The Witch and Jinx The Genie; while the two are good-hearted magical girls trying to do good for others, they have a long-standing (Let’s just say over 200 years) rivalry between themselves;, no one knows how this feud began but some think it started over a handsome prince. Trick-Zee (Trixie) oddly which means “Happy” but she is the total opposite, she has a off the wall since of humor with a bit of an anger management problem when it comes to Jinx; Jinx The Genie is a mischievous genie that is obsessed with the 60’s even though she has been around for countless years this time period is her absolute favorite. When it comes to her rival Trick-Zee however she will go above and beyond genie-dom to drive her crazy and see her batter that poor hat over and over.
Witch Vs Genie is a bit like the old Spy Vs Spy comic strip that is found in Mad Magazine; if you are a fan of the Spies constant ways of outdoing one another then you will love what Trick-Zee and Jinx have i store for one another in their comic book.
The comic is written and created and written by owner and primary writer of Comic Book Divas Publishing Jeff Hughes; he is joined by artist JD Correa to bring the comic book to life. JD Correa is best know for his cover work, however this will be his first comic where he will be featured as both the cover and interior artist, in addition to all of that JD will also be the one behind the character and costume design,
As in most of our comic books, Comic Book Divas Publishing will feature two talented women to portray our comic book characters; we are very excited to feature two North Texas cosplayers MCubed Cosplay as Trick-Zee The Witch and cosplayer Audrey McCullough as Jinx The Genie.
MCcubed Cosplay is a North Texas cosplayer and freelance model that has worked with many photographers from around the Texas area; she has become a fan favorite and has been at guest at many conventions She is a member of the 501st and has been a member of the Rebel Legion for over 2 years. Mcubed cosplay is widely known for her cosplay as slave Princess Leia and Misty from the Pokemon cartoon and may others.
Audrey McCullough is a popular North Texas cosplayer and a member of the popular Orion Corps Cosplay Group; he Orion Corp Cosplay group is best known for their unique idea of “Themed Cosplay”; these is when the group decides on a comic book universe such as the Spider-Man universe or comic book based team such as the X-Men and they cosplay a character from these universe or teams; the group has done themed cosplay of The X-Men, The Walking Dead, The Spider-Verse, Batman Universe, The Green Lantern Corps, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and many more.
The Orion Corp Cosplay Group was also the special guest cosplays at the Comic Book Divas Publishing table during the Alamo City Comic Con 2015.
Audrey is best known for her talented cosplays as Spider-Gwen from the Spider-Verse, Black Lantern Wonder Woman, and her Walking Dead Carol Peletier.
In addition to her being in Witch Vs Genie, fans can also find Audrey in the second storybook universe comic entitled “Thumbelina: SMASH, scheduled for 2016 as well, and will be published by Legendary Divas Publishing (Comic Book Divas Publishing/Legends Of Heroes And Villains).
